My new recorder is a Phillips Voice Tracer DVT-4110.
I have it on the "Lecture" setting, it adjusts the top microphone to very sensitive and gives the microphone a lot of "throw". That is, a long range, but it doesn't reduce noise much from the surrounding areas, so you have to be super quiet or absent during recording.
Honestly, the recording quality of this unit is incredible. And I hope to capture more action in the future.

Hello , how to give microphone "a lot of throw" ? I have the recorder and setup microphone to very sensitive.
