Beginner's luck : french neighbours in Lyon

Hi everyone,

I am a long-time lurker from Lyon, France. I've enjoyed a lot of beautiful sounds you guys share but never had anything to bring to the table. Until a few days ago, I briefly heard some lady having a good time from a small window in my bathroom wich opens on the stairs. I went out with my phone in hand but was unable to pinpoint the location before it was over. My best guess was that it came from the first floor. Plus my stairs have an automatic light wich makes it very hard to be stealthy si I couldn't stay long. That's why I decided it was time to try my luck with come recorder. I ordered a cheap USB one and while waiting for it I saw that there was a weird space in the wall next to every small window opening on the stairs, just like mine. I figured you could hide a small recorder in here and it would be very close to the flat while being quite impossible to see from within. The recorder was delivered and I got it fully charged. So on wednesday night I decided to give it a first try. My hopes weren't too high : I wasn't sure that the recorder was very good and could stay on very long. I quicly went down to the 1st floor and planted it in said hiding spot. I didn't hear anything that night and was quite bushed, so I went to sleep. This morning I picked it up on my way to work. Business was pretty intense and I didn't get a chance to listen in the office, though the temptation was here... Tonight I finished pretty late and felt a little weary but my lust for sound took me to plug the little bug. When I opened I was a little surprised to see the tough little bastard had stayed on for 9 hours straight !!! Damn, that was some work ! But I'm no lazyass quitter so I opened it on Audacity (I had done my reading here beforehand...) and started to seek. And then Bingo ! Talk about beginner's luck !
I'm very proud to share my first catch with you guys. I see it as a thank you gift for all the good stuff I found here !

I don't know what those people look like. On the part I cut I heard some previous chat that wasn't esay to follow but I guessed they met recently, I think I caught the word Tinder at some point. I actually don't know wich of the two lives here but I hope it's the lady since I really love her voice !

No need to say I will definitely try again (I'm already considering buying another recorder...) and try to see what she looks like !

Great post! Keep up the recordings! This reminds me of my last "single apartment", where I had a couple living upstairs. My recordings weren't as good as yours unfortunately. Maybe I can find them though.
