I don't think that's why people have been using alternative hosts lately. That's because of Soundgasm's technical issues. However, as I've said before, I have seen people on OVHS complain about some of their posts appearing elsewhere.

It doesn't seem to matter if their sound was uploaded elsewhere or if it was just the Soundgasm link. And again, I don't understand their surprise because OVHS is public plaform. It's like sharing a picture on Instagram, and complaining that it appeared on Reddit.

I cant even remember if i changed my account or not but someone complained to admin and i believe my account there was restricted, i still browse the site from time to time and download directly from there, just I dont repost on ssl anymore as I did here as I used to post every download on here from soundgasm back in the day for few yrs until that happened to me.

Yeh some are strange on that site as they post publicly but then expect it to be copyright protected.

It was private i believe. From multiple people ( couldve even been one guy who masqueraded as multiple as I did get into a few heated arguments with some users on reddit back then over some comments I made publicly too) and I also got warned by admin as someone complained on it on these reposts on ssl mostly.

As many of these threads on ssl i was the one who started to post every download ( some i also created especially the "main thread" forums were my naming convention style)on here back in the day and i used to maintain the sequence, i still do for freesound, crisdevoisins and few others but this one unfortunately i stopped due to this.

Yeh end of the day I didnt understand it either..i guess if someone from ssl or outside (who isnt the owner of that sound) took a sound from ssl and re- posted it on reddit, not sure if the owner of that sound on ssl wouldve liked it and i can only presume thats what happened there to me.

Put it this way, if nobody is stopping you from reddit then carry on the fine work you are doing reposting these sounds from reddit over here. Theres zero objections from me.

I am confused, how can they be in the archives if they were just uploaded to OVHS & Soundgasm yesterday? Also, @Factorythirds, if you're the one who shared them on OVHS/Soundgasm, how could you have lost them when you uploaded them just yesterday?

If you read the postings you quoted you´d see that cruzsilva posted the link in 2019, the files were uploaded here by me 8 min afterwards. Factorythirds obviously lost his own recordings, joined the archives (as I also mentioned) and recollected his sounds ... to post them on OVHS and Soundgasm once more.

I've since regretted my actions and have been trying to locate the clips for years. I finally one day decided to Google the name of the clips along with the Soundgasm username I used and lo and behold, I found this forum! Glad I had some fans who even backed up my own audio!

Yeah I kept the Soundgasm account. I deleted the files from Soundgasm in 2019. I reuploaded the same files recently after finding them in the archives. Probably why the links still work. I believe I used the same names.
