Sunday night brief liaison

Sunday evening at about 8.00 I was sitting in a quiet hotel bar having dinner. As usual I picked a spot which overlooked the hotel entrance so I could see the comings and goings. There were perhaps half a dozen other people in the bar, most of whom were doing the same as me – reading a book or surfing the web. Over the far side of the room though there was a smartly dressed young lady, in her early twenties I’d say, slim, quite short, wearing a crisp white blouse and dark trousers, sitting alone with just a glass of wine. She didn’t look like a hotel guest, having just her coat and handbag with her, and she kept glancing out of the window towards the car park as though waiting for somebody.

Sure enough, after a while a car pulled-up and the lady stiffened-up in her seat. She glanced around furtively, as though checking to see if there was anyone there she recognised, then stood up, put on her coat and wandered over to the entrance, glass of wine in tow. A young man of similar age and build entered the lobby carrying a shirt holder and towing a small suitcase – he at least was obviously there to stay the night. He wasn’t as smartly dressed as her and looked quite ruffled, as though he’d driven a long way to get there.

They didn’t seem to be particularly friendly, just a smiling, almost formal hello but with no physical contact at all between them – not a hug, not even a handshake - which struck me as a little unusual. However, they stood together as he checked-in, during which she was still checking out the room around her, then the two of them headed towards the lifts.

I was able to follow via the stairs and saw which room they went into - still not touching, still not much affection, just quiet, slightly stilted conversation. Then perhaps three or four minutes later I was able to start the first recording.

It seems I was just in time, the formalities ended very quickly and they got down to business. I split the first session into two clips for posting, with a short period of overlap so you don’t miss any of the action.

After the first recording ended they chatted happily and it became obvious they were work colleagues. They talked for ages about their colleagues and the company, then they showered (not together, alas) and watched some television, still chatting about work.

Shortly after midnight they turned up the volume on the TV, soon after wehich the second clip commences. As I’ve said before, I personally hate having the TV on when I’m making love but it seems there are large numbers of people out there who don’t find this distracting. You’ll need to listen carefully to distinguish them from the background but it’s certainly worth taking the time to do so.

Not long after the end of the second clip, they had a brief passionate cuddle by the door then the young lady exited, leaving the young man alone for the rest of the night. He wandered around the room sorting his things for a few minutes, humming the theme tune to “Strictly” (so he was paying attention to the TV!), then went to bed.

I can well imagine that the next morning they turned up at the office and pretty much ignored each other in front of their colleagues. I think there’s a deeper story in there somewhere, but we’ll never know what it is.

I share your dislike of TV background noise. I find it very distracting, as does my current lover thank goodness. It is also the bane of voyeurs lol. I think the clarity of the recordings is quite good and following your advice I was able to pick up quite a bit of the action by listening very carefully. Good catch. Where is the city and what is the nationality of the couple? Just curious.

By the way, did you notice from the time before or after the recording whether they used condoms? This could give some indication how long they know each other already...

When was the last time you ever had sex and thought of turning on the TV to drown on the noise... only to say "hang on honey i'd rather turn it on to an english channel so I can understand whats being said on the news while we have sex"

They were definitely English. At that time of night it's quite common to find sub-titled non-English films on the TV. I assume that's what was on, though hopefully they weren't looking up to read the script!

I'm sure they weren't! You confirm my impression that some couples try to hide their sexsounds by having the TV set loud, on a random channel, preferably not in their language... We sexsound lovers can be happy that people still have the illusion this would work.

My guess is that without TV, these people wouldn't dare to be loud at all!

If you know how, the TV can drown out quite a bit of noise and make any unbearable. Luckily not the case here.
