The product looks pretty 'gimmicky' to me and catered to a specific audience (people with shady business type conversations that are worried they are being monitored by authorities). Most everyday consumers are probably not going to put down 250-400 euros/dollars for one of these. Until the cell phone market figures out a way to incorporate this (which is highly doubtful considering you have to attach it to the wall and will drain the battery immensely).. pretty sure the community is safe. Just my 2 cents

There have been two systems for containing sounds around for years. This is not new.

The first one, active cancellation works similarly to the active noise reducing headphones. It works best with consistent low frequency noise. The rumble from an aircraft engine is a good example of this type of noise, and big surprise, this technique gets used for reducing this type of noise in some jets. It is not as effective for reducing high frequency noise, and it tends to have a sweet spot where it is most effective. If you have a pair of active noise canceling headphones and are on a plane, turn the active cancellation on and try moving our head around slowly. You will probably find that there is one really sweet spot where the cancellation is most effective.

The second one has been employed in offices and public places for a long time, and that is simply piping in something akin to white noise through the overhead speakers. This sounds similar to the hiss of an HVAC system, and in fact if it is turned up enough it can mask the sound of the HVAC system coming on and off through out the day. This system does not "stop" noise, but is masks it. When it is on, it is much harder to hear someone speaking from across the room, but does not overly impact face to face conversations.

And there is the good old third thing, and that is thick walls, tight fitting doors and insulation and isolation between the rooms.

I don't think any of these are going to put an end to people hearing sex sounds. As an aside, how many of the people that are overhears say in hotels do you think sort of want to be overheard?

A product like that is going to be expensive and probably will be for a niche market
