Across the hallway

I was staying in a cheap hotel and was awoken abruptly one night by the sweet sounds of lovemaking. My heart pounding, I reached for my phone. I didn't want to wake my partner so I just kept it on record at the bedside table, not knowing if it was their climax or if any more was to follow.

This couple was across the hallway from our room and I could hear pretty clearly all of the action over there, however my phone is clearly not as attentive as my well-trained ear for such things. Had I realised the inadequacies of my equipment, I would have set it just within our room under the doorgap: this was my first forray into such endeavours, having only just installed a recording app after noting how thin the walls and wide the door gaps were in this particular hotel.

Due to the nature of this recording I have no knowledge of the couple in question, however their room was frequented by other people throughout the early hours of the night.

As for the recording itself, there was a lot of my snoring that I cut out before the action picked up again, and their lovemaking seemed very sporadic, with bouts of pleasure spaced mainly at the start and end of the recording. For fear of missing anything (my noise cancelling/sound editing skills are lacking), I have preserved the large gap of what I perceive to be just noise in the middle of the recording. The last couple of minutes are easy enough to hear without any editing but everything else you may struggle with...

No, there isn´t and there is no new orphaned attachments in the admin area, which means that the file hasn´t been uploaded completely. Reasons usually are either the message was submitted too soon or the file was over 32mb. Please do not post before there is a sign saying the file has fully uploaded: green tick in the status column of the upload box.

After writing this, I managed to increase the max file size for attachments, 50+mb seem to work fine. Please see here for more details.

Nice content, but yeah - at that range, only the peaks are audible and the recorder will miss the gasps, kisses and other things that add to the enjoyment. We all learn by doing - thank you very much for this fun recording & contribution! Look forward to hearing more from you!
