I know since my neighbors moved last October, my contributions have been nil. I travel for work still but during the work week and tourism here being rotten, I have not picked up anything.

Also, I have been in arrears from the Covid layoffs I went through, getting better, but not looking at any disposable income until mid July.

In all of this, two nice things have occurred -

New young couple just moved in below me yesterday!

The place I loved here in Los Angeles just opened under a new name. Hoping I can start getting stuff again - short term with neighbors; and later this year with freed up hotel $

Hope you recover soon! I have a question regarding this place. Do you usually book the nights or you just visit it say externally? If the latter how long last your visits ?

Always book! That way if security catches up with you, dealing with you as a guest is way different than if you are just walking the property.
I book both Fri and Sat nights when I can.

So enjoying a snack and sparkling water in the lobby of The Traveler’s Nosleep Funhouse.

Had a work appointment nearby so came to see how much was open.

Hallways are same - no cameras.

Lobby beautifully redone.

Most here looked like business types, but one couple came out of the elevators looking very sated and happy.. not bad for a Tuesday.

One bartender from the original has made it here to the new place.

Did not notice security anywhere.

Later, they are reopening the 24/7 restaurant downstairs.

I’m looking at my inaugural return in August or a bit before.

Different strategy. No more planting 20 mics around. There are limited hiding places. Those will pick up some corridor echoes. Will keep my aggressive hunting to whatever floor I’m on and keep the door cracked open and ears open for opportunities. Not going to risk my mics ‘hiding in plain sight’ again..
Will definitely do the couple hunts as well following happy drunk couples with visits to their area timed carefully to still keep a low profile, naturally in keeping compliance with hotel polices and local ordinances
