For all the hotel rooms I have stayed in, I am disappointed in how many times I've heard people going at it. But after recently finding this site, my luck might be changing!
Last night I was on the road with business again and had just fallen asleep around 11:00 PM, but woke up around 11:30. Something jolted me awake, but I didn't know what. Upon laying there for a few seconds, I heard a faint moaning and thought I was imagining it. Then there was a louder "gasp"....which I assume I had heard another previously and that is what woke me up. Needless to say I was instantly awake. I quickly grabbed my little Sony IC Recorder and got it turned on. The walls were actually quite solid, with not a lot of noise coming through. I had my ear right against the wall and it still was somewhat faint. I think their headboard must have been against my wall, since the "thumping" seemed to come through pretty well. Either way, I got the attached recording which I am fairly pleased with considering how much I could hear with my bare ear. Sorry for some of the noise I made, but was searching along the wall for where the sound seemed to come through the best. I never got a look at the couple, but certainly enjoyed this little audio show.

Thanks. It's well done, considering the difficulties.
