Interesting question. After listening to thousands of sounds from different origins/languages, I sincerely think there is a difference. For example, Asian moans are very easily recognized (usually shorter and higher-pitched). All women tend to moan a 'yes' without vocalizing it. And, between English and French, for example, there is a big difference between a 'yes/yeah' and a 'oui' (that sounds like 'we'). Sometimes i think this is a German one (btw it is!), sometimes i think this is a French one, sometimes i think this is a Spanish one.
