On the HD recording, I hear a second couple that I am not picking up from the corridor mike. I think the second couple may have been in another room of the suite and getting drowned out by the couple closer to the door.

I suspect that at least in some cases these 'like floods' could be an attempt to gain active member status.
Perhaps a note in appropriate place that granting active member status is a human decision, not automatic based on stats might help.

If there's something to add to the conversation, by all means post! There's no need for"thank you" posts, that's what the"❤" is for. I agree, new posts are getting buried.

Yeah, coincidentally, I've recently been having similar thoughts about the people I've recorded over the past decade
or so, particularly the women. Stuff like: I wonder if they ever got married and had kids? Do they look the same now
or have they put on a lot of weight? Are they living happy, fulfilling lives? Are they even still alive?
