My opinion is he didn't make a rookie mistake, depending on the technique you adopt, at the moment of hunting it would be considered wiser deciding to leave a cold opportunity to pursue a possible hotter one. So it depends mostly on your luck and the technique you have opted for.
I agree. As far as i remember, your recordings was amazing too, Paul. I can't remember which ones you made, but i know i've got a folder on my cloud with your nickname on it.
Thanks to you too, so.

They went to bed but then turned silent, so I continued walking.
This is a rookie mistake that I would have thought an expert like you wouldn't make anymore. My friend, our experience in this area has shown us that we must wait at least 20 minutes of silence before eventually hearing any sounds.
Decisions, decisions...
Indeed, it turned out to be a mistake to leave. There were a few other couples still awake, so I decided to check on them. That was my reason for walking away. That said, I did wait for almost fifteen minutes before I left. Usually, but not always, I will at least hear *something*, any sign of them being awake (or asleep) after going to bed. Like in this case, when there's a gap under the door and the hallway is quiet, almost any sound can be heard, the slightest whisper, kiss or movement. This time I heard absolutely nothing. I returned immediately after checking the other couples and I wasn't away for very long, so it was a fairly short session.
There's a good chance that a couple will have sex after showering or before sleeping. You're right, sometimes there's a long wait before the action. It can be twenty minutes or more, but usually not that long. It's always a gamble. A lot can happen in the other rooms while I'm just standing around waiting.
