Hiding camera/microphone in room is illegal. I do NOT want that happening to me. As a woman, it is creepy. OP should get mentally checked. Besides arent there security cameras in the hallways?

He seems to mean in his room. Its a translation issue. If you read my other posts in this thread I have layed out a logical argument on why its very likely Itssxsndlvr might have said/translated incorrectly since he does not seem to be a native speaker.

Most of the his recordings are done from his room whilst there are shenanigans going on outside in the corridors. Again, I did not say the mic is in the same room, I said recorded from "his room" whilst there are actions going on outside or in another room. It would be the same if the hotel had an adjoining room to yours.

And if its in his room, why do security cameras even matter? Most of the time with cameras you cannot go out in the corridor, but its not stopping you from recording from your own room.

Yes, they do differ, but these things are very similar in the laws of most countries.
The GDPR and the Data Protection Act concern completely different matters and are taken into account in the settings of this website.

I’m not a reddit user. I just listen the records here.
And my point remains valid that sharing records without the consent of people recorded can be brought into court and be treated as offence. A simple google search might help You to get your mind around this. Hence this forum remains at risk if any body with à bit of legal background get into it with bad intentions.
