Correct, Rograd. This guy was doing something insanely rediculous (not to mention criminal). It's a whole lot easier when a good party or wedding reception is finishing up. From two doors down the hall, you would get all of the fun laughing and goodtimes passion reaching your room that you want.Rograd wrote:This whole topic is based on a misleading, shortened version of the story.

Re: No Recording Here - Just a News Article..
Personally I would never record in a hallway or under a door unless I was going to use a throw away wireless device. I would never linger or leave a piece of hardware that I had to retrieve.
Now, for me personally I am a lot ballsier behind a locked door, with the dead bolt set and the safety chain on. If you are really paranoid you can even put a chair up against your door. If anything ever happens to attract attention, which is in itself very unlikely, you have lots of time to put everything back and wipe any incriminating evidence from your devices. You might also consider recording to a truecrypt drive. Truecrypt is a popular disk encryption program and a truecrypt drive has not identifiable header so you always have plausible deniability that there is anything there, except what is there. That is they can not prove that any given file is encrypted.
Anyway, I thank you guys who risk your asses for some really good recordings, but I don't think I will be joining your ranks any time soon.
