In my experience after midnight you pretty much have the corridors to yourself. That's not to say there's no risk as you do get the occasional late-returner but most people are either fucking or sleeping at that time.

Yeah, it does depend on the logistics of the place and the place. Sometimes if you are in a student hall you might find yourself lucky even during midday. Other times, everyone in the hall is listening and there isn't much you can do accept listen with them and look at it each other with a funny face, except its not really funny to you
