Welcome Madame Wu, good question!

If you still see the file name, but no file to listen to, two things have happened:
- the attachment has been placed inline after uploading
- the attachment has been removed and is only available in the archive.

All older files are only available in the archives after 4 or 5 months usually, but you won´t see their file names if they have not been placed within the message initially. Some uploaders do, others don´t.

If there is no attachment symbol to be seen in the thread list of a subforum, there is no attachment in the thread ...

Was in a sentimental mood yesterday and listened to some recordings that have not been finally edited when I stumbled across this one which I enjoyed listening to. We were talking and laughing for almost an hour before the action began. The recording itself is uncut, only the before and after parts have been deleted.
