Actually this is a test logo which may become the regular one.
I learned that it is important to have a logo at all because it represents the link to the index page which should make it easier for visually handicapped members to navigate. As the style for the new forum is not yet final, I first choose the old logo but it does not harmonize with the blue color. A new logo had to be found quickly and I remembered the picture of a woman listening at the wall which I found by chance a year ago. I kept this on my harddisk because it reflects what we are doing and loving pretty well.
I admit that I am torn between the classical and the offensive way of representing the Community - if Thisbe (the title of the pic) was naked, it would be perfect.

Yeah, who doesn't! But can you hear boobies? Usually not I'd say.

For now, we will keep this logo until there is a better one. See also my next message.

That is a great idea. When looking for a new logo, I was thinking about a logo contest.
Should we do that? Anybody else interested?
Maybe we need to have a General Style Contest first?

RP I will give your cool SSL Style a try soon.

Thanks

El Ciego wrote:Yeppie, Thanks for your efforts . Actually, I am starting to become accustomed to this new layout, although I do not like it very much.
In the old system, I could simply jump to the posts by jumping to a new "table" or "heading." The new template seems to lack this function. No big deal, really. I think it is more important to get Again, danke schoen. the List of Uploads and other features to work. I know of only three members of yeppie.org/ssl-forum who are blind, including myself.
El Ciego, that sounds better, thanks for your response. Even if there are only three blind members, I put emphasis on your membership and will try to make using the forum convenient. For whom could Sexsounds be more important?

Did you try the Subsilver2 style already?

Like this!
There is a list of small boxes right beneath the message editor. You had "BBCode off" marked.

So far I like the subsilver2 style better. I see there's more styles
to check out and the logo must fit together with them all.

Actually most credits should go to the author of the font "Good Times".
At first I thought there was one style only and the resolution of the
missing logo was 139x52. Now there's 7 different boardstyles... :)

FYI, quote and edit message don't work with the subsilver2 style.

They do work. Just uncheck the box "BBCode off" below the message when writing or editing. I have just edited your above message while having subsilver2 switched on.

There will be even more styles during the next days.
At the moment, I am checking about 20 different styles. After this period there will be a limited set of styles for you to choose from. It will end with one or two styles or a style family (like now, one style with different colour options). Maybe we will have a styles poll, probably I will decide on my own.
The logo contest should not begin before the style decision has been made as it would be hard to create a good logo fitting to all those different styles.

You are invited to check new styles (change your preferences via ucp - user personal control) but please notice that not all functions will work with all styles for now. Only subsilver2 and prosilver are complete. You do not find the Chat link for example in the Glossy styles. I will workover the implemented style after the style decision.

Thanks, I didn't see...
Another FYI. The BBCode is on by default in my Board preferences but still it's off
when reply in here. Right now there's no formatting tools or smileys, only the line:
Options: BBCode is OFF. Also I cannot edit messages later in this thread.

Sorry, there still was an error with the forum permissions which overrule your individual settings and the user permissions. I am adjusting all of them now - you should be able to edit your messages and use bbcode now.
What does FYI mean?
