Damn shame. How did you find noise complaints going back to the 80s?
Don't despair. Maybe the new management won't soundproof the walls.
Sorry, can't seem to locate the 1980's Carlton comments. However, here's a quote from a biography on Donald Trump, whose grandfather owned a Klondike hotel in the gold rush days called, "The Arctic". This is probably the oldest published sex noise complaint I have run across:
"For single men the Arctic has excellent accommodations as well as the best restaurant...but I would not advise respectable women to go there to sleep, as they are liable to hear that which would be repugnant to their feelings- and uttered to, by the depraved of their own sex."

Sounds like an amazing place, thanks for the tribute and the memories.
Hopefully they find a way to keep going once this all calms down.

Thanks! I thought the last one was great! There were a lot of sounds of someone pacing around and other stuff near to wherever the mic was. I edited most of that out and tried to remove as much HVAC noise as possible. There's still some hiss but i think it sounds pretty good if you roll off some high frequencies on your EQ. It was an exciting clip and worth the time to clean.
