I offered her US$700 to help her out that month, to help with rent, utilities, food, etc. on the stipulation that she trade in the Mini Cooper for a more practical used car that was more reliable. She agreed that she will trade in her car eventually, but she balked at my offer of $700. I was taken aback, but then I asked her what she had in mind that she needed and she said US$3,500. She cited several reasons, but primarily it was because she felt I was rich enough and that I should since she loves me, and assumes that I would support her eventually once we become exclusive (something that she was gently pushing for anyway).
At this point in my mind, I was already done with her. I handed over $700 in cash to her, the amount I said I could give her, and said that we were done. I was at her place when this happened, and so I simply left. She called me later to apologize but I left it go to voicemail as I didn't want to talk to her anymore. I think she was remorseful about the whole thing, but I realized that she did not appreciate me or follow my advice regarding her car, and laughing at my offer and asking for way more with such expectant privilege; those things pissed me off.
