I have a dogging area near me i have done some research and its the main one near where i live, I want to put up a recording devise there bit i dont know where the best spot are and also how do i retrieve the devise back? It can get pretty busy because it is used for dog walks

The most popular spots (in a car park) would be the ones that provide the most privacy (or the illusion of privacy),
i.e. they are hidden away from the entrance and the road and/or are furthest away from the entrance.

Best to retrieve them before light when nobody's about, or very early in the morning. The length of time you leave
the devices for may depend on...

*the site itself
*the weather
*the day of the week
*the time of year
*your own schedule and the distance you need to travel

Always memorise well where you left the devices by using features on the ground, or create your own
'marker points' using natural features.

This is a very good advice I remember when I was crawling on all four on the ground and was looking for my damn usb recorders in the dark. These little fuckers are very difficult to find, when you don’t know the exact spot One recorder I never found, maybe someone else found it or it is still out there

^I've spent 20-30 minutes looking for a device on two separate occasions because I hurriedly hid them
without properly mentally recording where exactly I'd left them. But I've always found them in the end,
apart from one (or two) instances when they must've (and could only) been taken by animals.

prevented me from planting devices at this particular location.)
