I've seen My moaning neighbour somewhere before. I think
it was much shorter. Have to run. I'll check again later today.

hey rp, one more plea: please do not call each file you
upload "rp_something_mix123_edit_nero_...".
"something (edit)" would be name enough, for more information we have the description. i have to rename all of these for the archives resulting in naming confusion.

I thought I made it easier for you if my files started with RP and it
might be hard to find the right one if all files is named "01.mp3".
I will not upload edited files in neighbors again however, unless
there's long empty parts ...or "off-topic" :P

not complete

Post by mysx »

It seems you have to build/compile the source code but I'm not a
program maker. The file I converted is 279 Kb, 66 kbps, 22 kHz.
The converter are still under developement so there might be some
bugs. I think Maxdaves file isn't complete because vixy.net use to
drop the first try. I thought I was alone about that and downloads
use to drop for me at some other places too.

Also try http://keepvid.com/ (forum member tip).
- It will download FLV only however.

Converted sound files

Post by Maxdave »

Hi Yeppie

I use KeepVid to grab You Tube files as .flv format.
Then I convert the .flv to a .mpg specifying 320 x 240 resolution. I use RIVA FLV encoder version 2.0 to do this.
Next I use VID2MP3 to extract the mp3 sound from the .mpg (I set the VID2MP3 to 64kbps bit rate). As a last step, I load the resulting 64 kbps bit rate .mp3 into AUDACITY and convert it to mono (if necessary), and then save it as a 16 bit .mp3.

It's actually faster to do it, than describe the steps. I have a 5 Mbps connection and a Dual Core 4200 system to download, convert and then upload the sounds.

If you're cheap like me, you can pull the streamed file from Temporary Internet Files and convert it from flv to mpg or wmv using the free SUPER converter <http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=SUPER_1>.
