For what it's designed for - music and podcast production, the boot up probably works. For our hobby, a minute is an eternity; can miss a treasure of amazing sounds in that time period. Will look closer at the Sony UX570. Rated higher than Olympus for recording quality.

I'm sure you're right from everything I have read about it. The start-up time is a deal breaker though. You do this for a living too - and know how much info you can miss in 30 seconds. Question - if you turn on and leave it charging, will it auto-turnoff? If there was a way to leave the f**kr on permanently I'd probably make the switch.

Anyone try the H1 as a happy medium?

Just read your request more carefully, so I'll do my best.

Girlfriend: Picture Abigail Breslin, but not as refined or athletic. Not by any means overweight, but doesn't wear a lot of makeup, and has soft features. Short too my guess is around 5ft. I love short girls! Just a nice, blond natural girl with a sweet disposition.

Boyfriend - Picture Mediterranean version of Zac Efron without the edge. Tall - about 6'5". Not overweight but out of tone. Works as a project manager for one of the larger commercial electrical contractors here. Nice guy, laughs a lot.
So they live below me and own a German Shepard.
