I love to hear more of the power of love overcoming the vigor of youth. My wife and I have much the same experience, though we are still younger. Our culture disregards the growth of bonds over time far too much. To an extent, I can understand, a happy family does not make for a good story in fiction. As Tolstoy says, "Every happy family is happy in the same way."
