I’m really pleased with this one – definitely one of the best I’ve done in a while.

It follows the usual pattern for me. I was in a hotel bar in the early evening when I saw this couple walk to the reception desk. I followed them upstairs then when they closed the door to their room I planted the USB before returning to the bar. The hotel was quite busy at that time of the evening so I wasn’t about to wait around in corridors.

Some short time later the couple came back down to the bar and ordered drinks and food. She was a clearly very fit young white lady with streaky dyed black and blonde hair, wearing a sleeveless vest and, most strikingly, had a necklace tattooed around her neck such that the chain image thread down between her very ample breasts. I wondered where it went to from thereon down? He, by contrast, was a black African guy, maybe West Indian, tall and slim, dressed in a Hugo Boss hoody. They weren’t particularly touchy-feely or huggy, they seemed to be just a couple who were out together for the evening - my feeling was it might have been an online hookup arrangement.

Anyway, they were downstairs for about two and a half hours before returning to their room where she, in particular, provided a well above average recording for our enjoyment (listen out for her gagging just after 18 minutes in).

Would love to know what she was saying. Also it might just be me but I’m sure I heard a second couple at rare moments in the very background.

I enhanced the sound and edited it so it start from the moaning. She starts saying I SHOULD GET MY PILLOW and YOU HAVE BIG DICK over and over. Towards end she says FUCK YEAH a few times

Just a simple program included with Windows is Audacity. You are able to enhance up to 36dB each recording. After saving with +36dB, if you load again that file you are able to enhance to another 36dB, which maybe is too much because it will reproduce all kind of noises.

Double sided sticky tape.

I wrap the USBs in white, grey or black electrical tape, leaving a small gap around the microphone. The double sided sticky tape enables me to stick them to walls, doorframes, etc, where the plain coloured electrical tape pretty much camouflages them. I’ve been doing this for many years and only very occasionally do I lose one. They are so cheap though that it’s not a great loss when one disappears.

The only downside is that the USBs produce, at best, only average quality recordings, certainly nowhere near as clear as a cell phone does. But my method is really safe and I’d rather get a noisy recording than no recording at all.

Great capture, LeStanf. The microphones, processing and equalization on some of these new devices is astounding. I was experimenting with the latest generation of hearing aids and I couldn't believe how well they can penetrate down an American hotel hallway, just by cranking the settings to maximum and lying in bed.
