why in the archives do some recordings only have downloads on them and then they don’t download

Sorry I don´t understand ... can you give an example, preferably a link to such a file?

The files from 12rudeboy34 and a couple others you can only download them but they don’t work when you do

They are only downloadable because they come in wma format and there is no online player for these. I just checked all files from 12rudeboy34 and all downloaded sounds play fine. You may need another player, I played them using Windows Media Player and VLC media player.
