Recovering deleted youtube videos from my hard-drive?

I was searching youtube a few weeks ago and came across some awesome sex sound videos. The couple left their door ajar so the sound was extremely vivid.

Before I could ever make a second visit to them youtube deleted the movies as well as the user account with only a message that they 'violated the terms of service'.

Is there any way to locate the flv's to reconstruct them from my temporary internet files? The lap top I used to browse that day hasn't been touched much since that time.

Thanks!

Yeah, they should still be there if you were using Internet Explorer. (I haven't figured out yet where the temp files go in Firefox.) Depending on length, they should be 5-20 MB in size. If you find them, drag them to another folder and open them from there. The VLC media player <http://www.videolan.org/> is a good universal player for flv files.

Thanks very much rookowl... the flvs of that time unfortunately seem to be long gone though. I guess that computer was set to dump the internet history fairly often. At least I'll know for next time, thanks!

For your next Youtube search I recommend the combination of firefox and add-on downloadhelper. It grabs youtube clips without a hazzle: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/3006
