Having no iPhone myself I´d guess you need to transfer the recordings to your computer using iTunes. Once they are stored you can send them attached to a message. Conversion to mp3 would be nice but not necessary.
Anybody?

As above, I can´t check the iPhone compatibility but it should work. There are hundreds of sounds attached which you shouldn´t miss.
We need iPhone experts to answer this!

When I click to view a sound it comes up with a play button with a cross through it like a don't walk sign?

Strange aye?

if you have the iphone 4 voice memo app you can click on the bottom right and it will bring up your recordings. Then highlight your recording and click share, then select email and email it to yourself. When you go on your regular desktop you can then download it. However it will be a ACC format which is the standard apple sound format. you will need to use a converter to get it from ACC to mp3. I use xilisoft ipod video converter 3, it allows me to convert into MP3. From there I am able to save it and share it with the forum. Or you can go into your itunes library to your itunes music folder and then to the bottom of the list where your voice memos are kept according to dates. From there you can access your sounds that is if you updated and synced your iphone to the computer. But it will still be in acc format. so you will need to convert it.

oh and I too cannot view sounds on the iphone 4 on this forum when I use the safari browser. It is not compatible and the iphone 4 does not recognize the files on this forum for downloading or listening.

Any idea wether this is Apple´s fault or mine (or the one of phpbb) and what can I do to make the files accessible for iPhones?

I might try downloading a new browser for the iPhone

I'm using a 3GS at the moment as I smashed my 4gs hours after paying a lot of money for it lol

+1 on agreeing iphone/apple software is not vey user-friendly. Once they store it in their proprietary software very difficult to export..ugh.

I have a 3GS too, and iTunes automatically transfers my voice memos to my harddrive and then adds them to my library when I sync my music. They should have id tags so you can find them easily. The album name should be "Voice Memo" and the artist should be "Your Name's iPhone". To convert them to mp3, you just need to find them in iTunes, right click them and then click "Create MP3 Version".

Some how I managed to wipe everything off my phone when I updated to ios 5

Bollocks (excuse the language)

In good news I found a browser that lets you view and listen to files on the forum

It's called opera mini and it's on the app store
