Very good recordings - very clear and hot sounds - must have been quite a hot and busy motel stay and not much out of the room.....!

Fantastic catches! That songbird was loud and clear, like you were beside their bed.

What did you use to record all this?

Almost all were in the hallway of four older hotels I have recently been staying at. Noises usually start around 11pm. I like most old places as the sound barrier was not commonly used. Bad thing the floors in all but one are terribly noisy. I lost my TASCAM four weeks ago (stolen by the maid?) All I know is it was gone the next afternoon. Had a good recording on it too with lots of skin on skin and LOUD bed squeaking sounds...no foul though as I say the couple the next morning and they grossed me out. Both had to be over 400 lbs, old and very dirty. so now I own a Sony 523. Best recorder I have owned, is small in size, uses ONE battery with long life, and has phenomenal pick-up. Best part is I bought a Best-Buy for 1/2 off and it has better stats than the more expensive model.

I apologize...please don't take my comment as derogatory. Just merely an observation.

The short recordings are really good. Congratulations.
The longer ones do seem to have lost the second half, but the first half was also good.

That wasn't a slam towards anyone but myself...I really jacked up the editing for that entire recording session. I'll try to find time to remedy all
