So: here we are at 1:36 am January 2.
A few hours earlier I had given a couple their New Year's gift.
But that is never enough; I got up and scoured the hall---and
look what I found---this Italian couple. I got there just before
they began---so I recorded the good parts.

to hear the talking at the beginning, makes it very intimate. there is absolutely no sound proofing

Thnaks a lot for that one. I'm new here but the sound quality is as if you were in the room. Great sounds! What did you use for recording?
Cheers

All of my recordings are done with my: iphone 5 (voice memos)---the mic really picks up
the sounds very well.

I simpy put the phone at the bottom of the door---and the sound is perfect.
If I must hold the mic in my hand--I find that the side of the door
opposite the handle Alays gives the best Sound. In this particular
Hotel the bottom of the door usually does not close all the way and so
there is a bit of a gap- I put the mic along the bottom ridge of the door
with the mic in the gap.
