Hi all. This is my first post and is of my wife and I last New Year. Apologies for the poor sound but I only have a cheap USB recorder. I'd be interest to hear any tips about improving the sound quality.

Regarding the audio, the quality itself was not too bad but you do have the hiss problem you get with all cheap recorders. This can be improved digitally using tools such as noise reduction in Audacity, but the only way to eliminate it beforehand is to use a better recording device really.

More recordings would certainly be welcomed

you can make quite good recordings with a decent mobile phone today, or you invest in a own recorder. some members also have luck with cheap usb recorders. i think there is a thread in the Hardware section about them. I hope you can use a better device with your next recording.
