Lucy Revisited

I got together with Lucy recently, something I haven’t done for four or five years on account of her having moved to a different city and gotten married. I ran into her at a party back in early May hosted by mutual friends. I guess the marriage thing didn't quite go as hoped, as they're separated and in the process of getting a divorce, which, from the way she talks about it sounds uuuuuuuuugly.
We were each with other people at the party, but we re-exchanged numbers and agreed to have lunch before she flew back. She asked if I would make lunch and I said yes, and I really did make it. (Lemon basil soup with croutons, and a cheese plate, if you're curious.) But she only had about an hour and a half and we never got around to eating it; after a romp in the sack she had to run to make check out of her hotel and make her flight. So I ate the lunch I made for dinner, late in the afternoon, naked on my bed that smelled like her.
Yum.
