How about a contest for the best audio file.

I download and save the audio files that I consider outstanding. I have my favorites that I return to and listen again and again. Often finding new details that I missed before. I like to clear up the pillow talk with my audio editing program to learn what people want and how they are feeling.
The thought has come to me that others do the same thing and that they must have their favorite recordings as well. It would be fun to know what the favorite audio files of the members are. I like best files that are clear and noise free, and where I can hear the couple talking. I don't like recordings when the recording isn't clandestine, or where the female part is just loud.
I propose that Sexsoundlovers have a contest where the members are allowed to re-submit their favorite download recording that has already been posted to sexsoundlovers and that we can vote for the one we like best. This might be educational as well for those who would like to submit their captures.

Do you really think we would have one clear winner when everyone has different preferences?

Both comments and the idea is highly appreciated... mybe it would be worth to start an attenuated type of the contest and just share our top-ten hitlists as an order of links where the top-ranking sounds have been posted?
What do you think...?

I always enjoyed contests, so I like your idea, fynens.
And I vote for ThomasĀ“ version to start with.
By the way, every member can start a contest ... but it is always good to have a discussion first.

Can't see how Thomas's version can work when not everyone can follow a link that's expired when we are unable to access the archives. I suggest we re-post files that we have downloaded on an earlier occasion.

That could be a link to the message posted in the forum when the file has been uploaded. Is that what you thought of, Thomas?

Hmm, interesting idea. I haven't dug in the archives for a bit though, is it easily searchable by filename? One of my favorite sounds is saved but all I have is the filename and date I downloaded it (no idea who posted it or which thread/category it was in).
I guess a few options would be:
1) Make it a contest only for 'active' members to vote on all clips on the active forum here as well as the archives. While not inclusive of the entire community, this could create incentive for non-active (those that cannot get in the archives) members to become more active.
2) Perhaps put the top 50 downloaded clips on the forum here so new members can sample the "most popular" archived clips in addition to what is currently listed on the forum here. This contest would be available for all members both active and non-active.
3) Make it a by-request contest. People would then cite their favorite clip by filename, but this would require someone searching out the files from the archives and possibly posting them again so that everyone can vote. This seems a bit time consuming for whoever is organizing the contest (meaning whoever has to find the files), but easiest for the participants.
4) Some contest type ideas could be for things such as
- Wildest clip (this is different for everyone but examples could be: using a trapeeze, chandalier, cooking utensils, whatevers LOL
- Loudest couple
- Quietest couple
- Most times "fuck" is said in a clip
- Most times OMG said in a clip
- Squeekiest bed
- Lamest sex (ie. 2 min man/quickies/etc)
- Craziest clip (ie. a clip that made you laugh because you cannot believe they actually said that while having sex)
- Clip that made you cum the quickest when listening to it
Etc etc. The category ideas really are endless. Just throwing a few out there

Exactely, this was what I mean. As the links to the posts do not expire, this could be a way... I agree with my previous poster that this could of course be dissappointing for members without archive access, but there are straightforward ways to solve this issue

An idea - to allow to offer for vote not the specific clip, but a series of clips with one couple. The idea comes to my mind when I just started to think about my personal top10 and realized that it's hard to choose only one clip from such series like Aspic's Suzie, Audio's Mueller neighbors, some of dxm2's ladies. And to put all of them in the list seems not to be a good idea - it will fill all top10 and there will be no place for other clips

Actually, one who offers a clip as her/his favorite could re-upload it as well, since I think she/he has it saved. As to search of the threads with the description in the forum, I think that it could be a task not for the organizers, but for all the community (at least active members with access to archives). I mean, the member offering the file posts the file and category (if it is possible), and then those of active members who has time search for it and post the link to the forum thread.

I like the MVB file where you can see the filming of a rooftop for instance...

Whatever form the contest ultimately takes, I do like Thomas's top ten list idea. I'm tempted to put together an annotated list of my own, just for kicks.

Thanks slipnslide, great idea, I also think someone has to start (and that`s not me cause I still have to prepare my personal top 10 list
)
