UK Lad - lovely site

Hi all I'm Luke in the UK and I have luckily found one of the best sites on the net. I'm massively into hearing other couples and can often be found in UK Hotels with an ear to the wall (every wall in the room ha !)
The chance of getting the right room however is not favourable and that's where I'm hoping someone can help ! Hoping there's some Hotel Night Receptionists who can check me in and in return I'll record any action !

Thanks Luke

Hi, Luke. And welcome!

It was frustration at rarely getting a 'good' room that led me to walk the corridors looking for action. You hear more and, as doors are less sound proof than walls, get better recordings. So, get out into the corridors (but look out for the dreaded CCTV cameras - thankfully still fairly rare) and bring back some great recordings for us!

The real headhunters go out into the corridors at night mate... ;-)

How did you find this site?

I can't found it. :(
What is the correct web address?
Thanks in advance.

I avoid stalking corridors where the cam is right in the corridor - or worse - every few feet in the corridor.

Lucked out and found a place in the SoCal area where CCTV cams are on every floor - but only in the elevator lobbies. Still out of paranoia, I won't place mics in view of those; if noises are coming out.. too bad. Turn the corner and where there are no cams - hey it's fair game. As long as I'm a paying guest, there are no rules saying I must stay in my hotel room. Besides, I have insomnia and walking helps relieve it, right?

Reno is the worst - they have clusters of the things about every 20 ft, so that makes me believe there is some fascist reactionary getting the same feeling out of busting people that I do from my recordings!

That's the catch 22. Best places customer wise seem to be motels which have no cams or security staff, but can't get decent sounds from doors facing outside. Best sounds are from indoor corridors, but then you have to have success in picking one that has the right demographic, few or better - no cams inside, and a laid back customer-friendly staff!

Good luck - Hope to hear from you.

Found a new irritation recently. I was staying at a smallish hotel with an electronic key system (nothing unusual there as these are very common) but not only did you need the key to operate the lift but you only had access to 'your' floor and the lobby! I tried the stairs but it was the same story. Access was blocked.

This seems very restrictive and it's the first time I've been in such a place. Let's hope it stays a rare occurrence.

Futtock, I´m afraid this might become usual. Have seen a few of these electronic systems recently, even in a hostel I stayed in a few weeks ago.
