Community of Sexsoundlovers

During the last two weeks I ordered and built up a new server for our community.
In the past we experienced some server crashes caused by a memory leak bug in the OS and by reaching the capacity of the recent virtual server (memory and disk space). With the new dedicated server, we grow from about 80GB to 1TB in disk space and we don´t have to share the machine´s RAM with other websites.

The file upload process is almost finished, so within the next days (probably on Monday) I will switch the domain to the new server. This will probably mean some downtime for the community and the archive. The community will be in maintenance mode during the establishment of the new database, the domain might not be found for a few hours until the new ip address information spread around the web.

Please show a little patience, it will be worth it.

If you find any bugs after the relocation process please let me know.

What about collecting some recordings in the meantime? Might be an efficient way to avoid boredom...

The first trial didn´t work.
There were several problems which I need to investigate first. This will take some time so the next switch will probably not be initiated before wednesday.

Sorry to read that. But thanks for taking the safe way, even if it's longer.

It turned out to be Friday instead of Wednesday but this seems to become a good Friday.

The forums are back, the archives work fine for me. Only the blog on the homepage shows an error but I´m confident to fix that, too.

Something doesn´t open, your message is missing, an attachment fails to download? If you come across any bugs, please let me know.

The forum is way too slow, there seems to be some work waiting. I guess it is not the server hardware but the settings (so my fault). Any ideas?

PHP should be configured along with an accelerator and some level of server-side caching. If it's so slow, it might be that the caching is not proprely configured. It's also worth checking the mySql database for corrupt caching tables...

Thanks alphonse! It is probably not the database and configuring caching didn´t help much either. I´m still searching although the page speed seems to have improved a little bit now but it definitely isn´t satisfying at all yet.
