MASH (the Movie..)

The Turner movie channel is showing MASH tonight. I have not seen that movie in quite a few years. I had forgotten about the great scene where they hide the microphone in Hotlip's tent when she has Frank over. The whole gang in in the communication tent listening in on the action. It reminded me of the gang here. They went ahead and plugged the sound into the PA system after a while for a very funny effect. If you have not seen the movie or have not seen it in a while you might get a kick out of it.

Yup. That's the one. The movie has a great scene with sex sounds in it.

Ah, ok.. thanks for the hint. When I was a child I sometimes watched the TV series that is based on the movie (in the TV series there were no sex sounds...:-)

The Hollywood actor Paul Henreid described a similar, but actual, occurrence on the set of the film Casablanca. The director Michael Curtiz was apparently in the habit of scheduling private encounters with hopeful young starlets during gaps in the filming. These encounters would take place in secluded parts of the set, and Peter Lorre, something of a prankster, convinced a technician to wire up a microphone at one of the director's trysting locations. The result is described in this blog post:
