Pointless

Hi,
Last week, on the hottest and sunniest day of the year so far here in the UK, I arrived at a hotel after work at about 5.30 in the evening. Wandering along the baking hot corridor (hotel has no aircon) with my luggage, I heard the unmistakable sound of a woman's gasps from inside a room. It took me just a few seconds to get a USB mic' in place, then unfortunately I had to continue to my room because there was a lot of traffic at that time in the evening.
They had the TV on in the background, showing "Pointless" (not sure if you get that show outside the UK) and as usual it wasn't loud enough to damp their sounds much, although it does provide an annoying background for us.
After reviewing the recording and the events of the evening I realised this is another one with a bit of a story to it. To summarise:
- Recording starts with recording of their time together.
- There's then the sound of the shower. I think I can hear some more quiet gasps during this but I'm uncertain.
- Soon after, he then answers a call (at approximately 20.5 minutes) from what sounds like his wife and tells her he's still at work.
- They then had a conversation (which I have removed because they mention names) during which he talks about his family and she describes her boyfriend. They also discuss work and the meeting they're attending the next morning.
- She then leaves (which I have left in) and I saw her walk to her car. Slim, late twenties, short hair, white blouse, dark skirt.
- The remainder of the recording I have cut but it includes the sound of another shower followed by him leaving too. I also watched him walk to another, much posher, car and drive away. He was older, maybe late forties, dressed in a suit but carrying his jacket and no tie.
- Nobody returned to the room that night.
I think a pretty obvious interpretation and conclusion can be drawn from this one.
