Hi everybody!

This is my first post. After having downloaded and listened to many sounds from this great forum, I am delighted to finally be able to contribute. Hope you'll like it. While I am a rookie here, I was fortunate enough to have very loud perfomers and an excellent device.

In a distant past I had attended to and even recorded some exciting situations, one in particular which I will reveal in the (True) Stories section. But this was so long ago - with a Sony tape recorder - that I lost the files.

The story behind this recording is quite funny. I had to spend 2 nights for a course in the city of Bern. I had picked a moderately priced hotel, part of an international group. Never did I have in mind to spy and record anything. That same day, however, I had picked up a new recorder at a store, the Sony SX-2000. Hence the title: a very lucky day. I would not have had a recorder with me otherwise.

As soon as I approached my room, I heard exciting moans from the room 705. I hurried up to unpack the device and walked to their door. Unfortunately their room was in the middle of the long hallways, next to the 2 elevators. Customers were coming and going quite often, not surprising at such an early time of the evening. I was disturbed several times and tried different tactics:

• holding the recorder against the door, and walking away when the elevator bell rang

• putting the recorder at the bottom of the door, with the risk that my brand new expensive device be taken by someone

• hiding the recorder on top of a lamp and leaving it there hidden and unattended

So please, forgive the steps, the elevator bells... the good news is that they do not cover the sex sounds at all. The files are unedited, except for some cutting. While they seem clear enough, do not hesitate if you think I can edit them better next time.

The couple was likely german (or austrian). They did it from 6:43 to 7pm and started again 1/2 hour later. Needless to say, I spent most of the night hoping to catch them again at a less busy time, but nothing happened.

This SX-2000 has some interesting features: it can record for days and can be USB powered by an external battery. A smartphone can start and stop the device remotely by bluetooth. I have some ideas how I could use these features in the future.

@physicist: I did not buy the SX-2000 specifically for sex sounds recording. Apart from the sound clarity it has some very interesting features for future catches. I am testing it right now connected to a power bank: it has been recording for 4 days and the battery is still fully charged. Someone in the Know How section of the forum asked for a long term recorder. This combination recorder+powerbank would probably be able to record for weeks. A feature I just discovered, called VOR, seem to spare both the battery and the memory. It was on and the 4 days recording only takes 1/32 of the total memory:

Recording automatically in response to the input sound volume – the VOR function
You can set your IC recorder to automatically start when the input sound volume reaches the predefined level, and pauses when the volume decreases below the level.

@87warthunder87: unfortunately I never saw the couple. At breakfast the next day I looked at the people around me but was unable to identify them.

To the VOR function of your recorder: I would not recommend to use it because you might loose everything below the predefined level, and certain moans are definitely very silent at the beginning. I lost several good opportunities in earlier times because of using a recorder in "voice-activated" mode and had either nothing or a lot of interruptions in my recording at the end...

I think the missing word is "untypisch" (???=atypical)

I understand the concern. A (devilish) plan I have for the future is to invite my girlfriend's best friend to my little mountain flat. She is quite sexy and in a new relationship. If they would stay for a week, I would certainly try to capture the whole time by switching on the recorder before they arrive. I may or may not need the VOR function to be able to capture one whole week, I am not sure yet.

Agree with Thomas. I've heard several captures on this site that suffered tremendously from Voice Activation Mode being turned on. As legendary as all the "Eightman" recordings were on this site.......... a few of them were almost impossible to listen to due to VOR being on. You miss the initial seduction and everything gets all chopped up.
