Hi all. This is kind of an update for Lucy posts and I apologise if I'm putting it in the wrong section. As some of you may be aware my wife and me are actually friends with Lucy and hubby in rl. You may also be aware that they had a baby just before Christmas. A BIG baby. In one of the conversations with my Mrs, Lucy let slip that there were rather a lot of stitches involved at the time. It appears these are still giving grief (hence the quieter sex I guess) and their sex life and general life is suffering as she's depressed and about it. Hubby is doing his best but he is, how can I put this, "emotionally detached" from anything other than keep fit (hobby AND job), gadgets and looking good. Feelings are not his strong point. With that in mind he's been a knob and signed up for some endurance event in Spain and has gone for a month (as of 3 days ago) to "acclimatise" and take part. Last night some drunk dickhead decided to bang on Lucys door at 2am screaming obscenities and threatening to break the door down. Turns out he thought it was his house and he'd been locked out. Wasn't even on right street. Myself and other neighbour got him away, police etc involved and took him to a cell. Lucy, who doesn't have good relations with her family, left alone with 3 kids and understandably exhausted and freaked out. Luckily hubby's parents came up for 4am (don't live round here) and have taken 2 eldest kids as an extended sleepover and Lucy and baby are currently asleep in my spare room! Well Lucy is, I have a very hungry/nosey little lady trying to get my phone sat on my knee whilst having a bottle (it's 2.50am. Do they NEVER sleep?)

Basically what I'm saying, as I'm sure you'll understand, there'll be no more Lucy recordings for the foreseeable future and whilst I obviously can't tell her I'd like to think you all wish her the best.

from what i have seen, such situations more likely end in divorce.

Thanks for the update, but it's no surprise. Even without the disasters couples tend to be very different once a baby's present. Bet it'll happen again - in two years if all of you travel somewhere and one night they ask you and your wife to babysit.

Yes he does sound like quite a knob. Going away for a month at trhis stage? Yes we wish her all the best and thanks for the better times.

Giving him benefit of the doubt he is on his way back now. He is a nice bloke but lacks the common sense!

Yes. Eldest daughter from previous relationship and 2 youngest with hubby. Eldest splits time between Lucy & ex.

Hubby now back, kids back home with him and Lucy and things seem to be improving so fingers crossed they'll be alright. No pun intended but baby steps required I think. Depression is a crap hole illness. One good thing though, cos of all this Lucy and eldest were supposed to be in Manchester watching Ariana Grande last night. Thank goodness they didn't get there.

OMG, poor Lucy. I hope her luck gets better? Hubby sounds an idiot though. Shame you can't give her our best/love!
