I read in the rules of posting sound recordings that there cannot be conversation in the recordings I have heard several recordings that have conversations in them. I just wondered about that

The rules with conversation I believe are not that it is disallowed, but it can not be identifying. If she moans oh, god, that is generic and fine. If she moans Oh, Frank, that probably needs to be redacted. Same with speaking.

The rules for conversation are in place because it is illegal in some countries to record a conversation without the knowledge of all parties involved.
That said, we leave the discretion of how to edit sounds to the poster and will alert the poster if there is any question about the content. In sex sounds there is typically some background conversation or perhaps a break in activity that includes conversation between lovers. This is typically okay as it is centered around the activity involved. The type of conversations we wish to avoid are those that have no bearing on the activity like if somebody receives a phone call from their investment broker, or have a lengthy conversation about their loved one that passed away, etc etc. Most of the community has a pretty good level of judgement here and if not then other members will usually point out any potential issues after listening to the sounds.

In one of my New Years Eve recordings, the girl immediately after 20 minutes of delicious pounding yells at her boyfriend to get a towel ... "omg it's all over...ewww, I'm wearing your cum!!" Cutting that out of the recording would have been a crime.

Which file is that. I am embarrassed to say that I don't remember it, but it sounds well worth re-visiting!
