hiya newbie here! :D finally taking up the courage to share my stor(ies)

so I have a two bedroom flat, usually i share it with a friend but he's been going through some personal stuff so his room is free which means the odd times people (who i know looking for a place) stay over and if its a couple then more the better :D so far:

a buddy and his gf: couldn't hear much except a moan here and there, i think he was going down on her but not sure
another buddy with his ex: this i could def hear, she was noisy, not that great looking but had a great body otherwise. i caught a glimpse of her coming out of a shower as well. a great ass!
third was a sibling with her bf which i tried to rather scrub my ears out.

Ouch. Yeah I know how this one would have been. Cover your ears and scream "LA LA LA LA" at the top of your lungs. I did get a laugh out of it though.

Now if I were in this situation, I'd invest in an olympus. It doesn't be an olympus, modern day smart phones have some very very good audio recording capability. Your phone would have to be ancient to have recorded bad quality. Smartphone mics seem as good as mid range dictaphones.

If anything, I'd recommend you invest in an olympus or recording with your phone for yourself. If you could ask anyone here about their ideal location, 99% would say "student flats". I'm sure of it. Many also regret not knowing about SSL and they regret not capturing any recordings when they were in student dorms. The common sentiment among all of us is that "i wish i recorded when I was a student". We all wish we could go back :(

We would obviously love that you record and share them with us. Truth be told, a two bedroom flat sounds like heaven because you have virtually no one to disturb you as no people are around. You could just sit outside and listen to the orchestra.

But if you record and don't share, that is ok too. It is better to record them at least than to not record them at all. Again, if you ask the people here, they would say the same because every one of us was a student at one time or another. And because it never gets better than student flats.

Do it for yourself!

I think I tried (unsuccessfully) explains this to another member but he didn't seem to get me. Perhaps you might. Don't do it for us, do it for yourself first. Then you can think about us. Although, if you think about us also, you will be instantly loved. Just the way we are ;)

Good luck and happy to have you here dadka. Please don't hesitate to become a regular and engage with the community. We would really love that too!

I just wish I had the foresight to record some of the stuff I heard in my first flat!

Hello dadka,

Nice story, it's great to see a first posting creating a dialogue like this. I agree with physicist, so many of us remember our student days and wish we'd been part of the community back then.

One time during my student days I went into a classmates house and was greeted by two stoned-out lovelies in see-through negligees. Why don't things like this happen to me nowadays?

Anyway, to add to physicist's comments, if cost is an issue then you might want to try one of these USB recorders:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/power-Recorder ... B+recorder

They're small, easy to conceal, and while the recording quality is not as crisp as the Olympus, you can still get some excellent material using them. In your situation I'd think you could easily become a star contributor here if you bought one.

Not that I have a lot of use for it living out in the middle of nowhere here, but f you get one of the USB sticks, hook it on your key chain so it is always with you. Just remember to plug it into a USB charger once. I go back and forth between that and my phone. Than it is always ready should an opportunity present itself. It is also handy having an 8 gig USB stick with you so it is a win win.
