could you post the uncompressed version or a link to it? maybe its salvageable

regarding audacity all I do is amplifying the overall volume and put the bass and treble effect on. now I am by no means an expert but for most recordings of this kind I think its enough. it really depends much more on the proper capturing of the audio than the editing of it. I would recommend putting the recording device as close to the source as possible. some people go full KGB and put high quality usb microphones in other peoples bedrooms but I think a cellphone inront of the door or close to a wall is perfectly suitable.

I forgot to mention that you should probably lower the volume on your headphones before listening to this file lol
