I fully understand what you mean. In some places what is now normal and usual, to be able to rent a hotel room (traditional) for 1.3 or 6 hours, was previously an adventure. I know that even when you arrived at the reception and requested a room, they looked at you with the face of few friends, as if you were a weirdo, or worse, as if the couple in question were two authentic perverts. I have transferred my house to a friend in need in such matters.

Okay... I've never seen a normal hotel offer rooms for less than one whole night :O

I only know of Airport Hotels where you rent them for the nasties.. xD
