Hi,
Well, it's not an easy problem to solve. There is no universal recipe. It depends a lot of the entire acquisition chain and the environment context of recording.
An improvement treatment can work fine for a sound file but not for another one. The only way is to try, test and try again with a not guaranted result. It's nearly an iterative process but you must know that below a certain record quality, there is a little to do.
Anyway, here you find some discussion which can help you:

I'd love if you could give me some tips! Like maybe how to boost the sounds from a recording which is pretty low and like noisy...
I tried following tutorials online, but most don't work well enough and others are just wayyy too complicated to try

There are a few tips by experts in this FAQ area, mostly pinned to the top of the Know-How and the Software subforum. My favorite in practicing is this one by emmpet8 for itΒ΄s simplicity in applying:

Thank you!! I don't know how I missed that one haha... I was looking at most of the threads there to find some saving grace
You're right, it does seem simple and effective... fingers crossed!!
If nothing else, we just might have to go the nuclear route hahaha
But it kinda scares me of getting caught, ngl...
So the new house has carpeting in the hallway and hard wood floors in the rooms...
(i'm sure you know where this is going haha)
...which causes there to be a gap under the door, I bet sliding my iPhone alittle bit inside would record everything crystal clear.
Am I crazy to actually be considering this?
