Things might be warming up a bit..

Found what might be a good target place. No security walkarounds - cameras are at ends of corridor, but I was able to sneak a look at what the bored clerk was watching on his monitors - instead of the little camera frames, he was on the web surfing. Place is inexpensive, nice loud acoustics, and seems to attract a younger crowd - the smell of marijuana probably drives the family types away.. 60 rooms on only two floors!

Couple A: Only caught the end. And at that deleted about 1/2 due to two girls returning to their room and taking what seemed to me an eternity to get there! I almost didn't include but thought their postcoital was too adorable to withhold. Saw them leave - young Armenian guy and short girl with a bit of a heavy - though still shapely bottom.
Couple B: Short, latino couple dressed up for partying and even wearing cheesy fake top hats! Very giggly. Both couples were no older that 21 - minimum age for getting into hotels in California now with no hassle.
Saw them arrive and pretended to exit down the stairs. Lucky - very few interruptions so I could record in corridor very close with my Olympus. There are two brief fadeouts where I had to disappear for a minute - both again to my fortune - during quiet times.. but managed to get full thing..

Very grateful for all these contributions and pleased things seem to be warming up a bit. Looking forward to hearing the couples in action.

Yep, I think it's safe to say you've hit the jackpot by discovering this hotel.

How many members of staff are there at night, do you think?

Be a bit wary of the cams they may have a dvr on them, but I suspect they cycle around after a while and if nothing comes up they will never review the cam footage. Good to see you having fun again though.

One hundred percent. The clock on the CCTV will also be syncronised with the clock on their booking system.
So, for example, if 'Joe Bloggs' checked in at, say, 17:36 on the check-in clock, they could very quickly and
easily see a video/image of 'Joe' checking in at also 17:36 on the CCTV. But they would only keep the video
footage until they write over the CD again - probably after a week at most, depending on what kind of
CCTV system they have. Hotels certainly do not have whole libraries of archived CCTV footage - you would
be lucky if they had a little room for storing luggage!

Only thing they'll see is my walking around..

They won't give a toss about some dude wandering the corridors at night if they don't care
about guests getting stupidly high on weed.

But I would check the reviews to see if there have been any reports of thefts. If so, and only if there
are extra members of staff at night, you may (or may not) see a staff member doing the odd patrol.

I stayed in a Birmingham hotel a few years back, which had several reports of thefts in the reviews.
Guests actually had items and money stolen while they were sleeping in their rooms. While doing my
usual sex sound patrol of each floor during the night, I discovered a potential culprit. It was a guy
creeping around slowly with his head down and listening at the doors - probably to check if the
rooms were occupied or if guests inside were asleep. I noticed him stealing a clean towel (in plastic
packaging) left outside a room by one of the housekeepers. He was basically stealing anything he
could get his hands on. There was no CCTV in the corridors - only where the lifts were (on each floor).

Would love that location Ed since I live in L.A. too lol
