Good festival, good music, 3 nights. Lost 2 recorders simply by being too fucking wasted myself and forgetting at what tent l had placed them. But also got 2 nice recordings to show for it. This is from the final night recorded with my phone.
Didn't see the couple, l was browsing around listening and these guys gave me positive vibes. Placed my phone by their tent and l sat down in their fold up chair as if it were mine. Sadly the tent was right by a walkway so we were constantly disturbed by people walking bye, which you can't really hear in the recording (apart from an annoying girl on her phone who at some point even wants to engage with me) but it would have impacted the couple not getting too carried away. Still a good session.

BTW You don’t have to be wasted to lose recorders. I think ‘hunting’ puts one in a very different frame of mind - almost as if there is a pre-rush of endorphins created by the anticipation..
Even in hotels I still write down the location where I conceal my equipment as I know from experience I’ve lost or almost lost recorders..

Honestly, I have missed two sure-fire tent recordings and another two strong chances just because I been excited, jittery and a little nervous making the placement, only to go back and realize I left the recorder off. It's a terrible feeling.
The one couple was being so cute too, saying things like "we can't, someone well hear us" between passionate kisses. I really, really wish that I could have that one too so again. But, at least I still had the recorders in the end, even if not the file.

Hahaha I hear you on being wasted and losing a device.This happened to me earlier this year, I came back to the spot after a few beers and found the device gone...or at least I thought so.I spent the next couple of hours worrying about the worst possible outcomes. Then the next day I went back it was right where I left it. I was checking the wrong spot before!
