How to record in Hotel

Post by Scoprof »

Hi everybody !

I'm about to make a big Europe and world tour and sleep in hotels a lot of time.
I'm interested by make some sound for you.

I know how to record and how to hide a recorder of course, but my question is about "Ibis Hotel" or all the hotels with cameras. How you all can record and spy in front of door when there is cameras in the hotel ?

Give me all your advices and tips. I'll take all of them and give you feedback very soon.

By example if i want to record in Ibis Hotel or B&B ?

I've done recordings at two Ibis hotels in the UK. Neither of them had cameras in the corridors.

One hotel had a security guard, who was mostly sitting in the front lobby next to the bar/restaurant,
and was occasionally doing a quick patrol of the entire hotel premises (corridors, car park, etc.).

Yes is better to avoid cameras.. Otherwise search on Amazon: cheap "pen" recorders. Don't know how good the quality is, but at least u can have a tour in the hallway, like u are searching for a room, and when u hear something, make it seem like a pen "slided" out of your pocket in front of the room, and then come back some time later and just take it back. But yes for sure better to avoid cameras
