I'll save Yeppie a job. It's in the archives as it's from 2018. After a certain amount of time/when Yeppie gets chance, older files are added to the archive to allow newer files to be posted. There's a section on the board index that tells you how to pay to join the archive and I can safely say it's worth it!

It's a bit tiring that people bring up old and now obsolete threads to the front page just because they didn't read the rules of this forum...

Hi audiogeek. So if the first post shows an older year like 2018 it means its an old post being 8 yrs ago as per screenshot attached. And also its written at the forefront of each section that older files have been moved to the archived.

I guess its not the frustration directed directly at you for asking. It is more for every new member that joins and asks the same question " where the file, Where the recording, why no file, am i missing something, can i please get an upload."

As for admins and others around here long enough, I suppose eventually it gets tiring reposting the same message over and over.If its not you, it will always be a certain someone else asking.

And if they get no answer they will just repost the same question in nearly every thread asking the same question bringing those old posts to the forefront. By bringing old posts to the front when a question is asked it also moves newer posts to the back so some members miss out on possibly new recordings that may have been attached recently as the system absorbs new comments and moves that "newly commented" post to the front instead.

So guess some members have grown tired answering same thing when the answer is right on each section if you read properly and also missing out on new posts as mentioned as when old posts get brought forward, it replaces new threads ( with new uploads) in its stead. Does that make sense?

Anyways welcome to the forum and now you know more about old recordings and where they sit

Hey guys, have a look at audiogeek's posting history and you will notice that he's not a newbie. In fact someone else brought this topic up to the top before him (by posting a smilie as reply) and so it could have appeared to be a new one.
I think everything has been said now so let's move to more interesting topics :-)
