I picked my hotel with some care. This is a country house style hotel but at the 3* end of the market (so the rooms are small and the build quality not so hot - thin walls and some of the doors hang so badly you could limbo dance under them). There are only 65 rooms so he staff level is quite low especially after 9pm when its a receptionist some kitchen/dinning room staff and little me. I'm actually classed as a porter so I get to take up the room service and help people to thier rooms. I have been firmly trained by the manager that I must quietly cruise the corridors and make sure the trays left outside the rooms are cleared and I collect breakfast requests - means I have to keep doing the roads - woohoo.
All means I can check out the talent oh the way in and I can see who is doing what. I'm working on the receptionist to teach me the booking in process so I can select the rooms.
I've acquired some mini MP3 players which record for hours and sit quite happily in the corridors - I've also found I can helfully leave some extra towels outside rooms (get my drift)
