I want to add some additional information as a long time member. To give more understanding to Yeppie's decision.
I myself have noticed in recent time, maybe in the past one year or so, that request for pictures, and pictures that violate rules has gotten out of hand. This is only a recent development. The requests are unfortunately also desperate and annoying. If feels like they are pressuring the person when they should be making a polite request.
In the past there would be pictures provided here and there but not to the extent that it would worry an admin. The site is not big enough to justify multiple moderators as yeppie is enough. But at the same time he can only do much.
Maybe pre-approved pictures is the middle idea we need but at this point its just best to disable for everyone to discourage others and make sure to follow rules
I personally do hope pictures come back in the future. I would be lying if I did not want pictures myself. But safety of the site is first and I would rather have no pictures to keep us going.
