Four captures in one night.

Hi,
Last week I spent a night in a Holiday Inn on a business trip. I was in room 220. Over the course of the night I discovered that above and to either side of me, in rooms 318 and 322, were two couples who were obviously there to enjoy themselves. Oh to have been in room 320! However, I'm pretty happy with what I was able to collect.
The recordings were made using my laptop and a microphone pressed against the wall so some parts are a bit quiet. They're still worth listening to though.
I checked-in alongside the first couple, who were both young and fit in their late twenties. When I saw that their room was roughly above mine I thought I might be able to hear them. It was only later that I realised there was another couple two doors along (the Do Not Disturb sign rather gave the game away). I'm afraid I didn't see the second couple so I can't give you a description. They sounded older to me, although they're obviously in pretty good health if the recordings are anything to go by!
Anyway, the first recording was made at about 8.45 in the evening. A few hours later, long after I'd gone to bed, I was awoken by the sound of a door slamming at about 2.00 am, which was followed by the second recording. I felt pretty good at having made two captures in one night, but then the next morning really iced the cake for me.
The second couple got off to an early start, despite having had such a late and active night, which led to the third recording here at about 07.40. I would have liked to have stayed to listen to what else happened but unfortunately I had appointments so I showered and went downstairs for breakfast. On returning though, it was obvious that the first couple had woken up and started their day as the previous one had finished. Alas, I was only able to capture the last few seconds of moaning from their direction but I have included it here.
So, four captures from one night without leaving the comfort of my room. Is this a record?

I never had such an experience. If I hear one sound I consider myself lucky already.

this is quite the catch. like another party, most of the time I'll catch one here or there, or on occasion be walking to my room from the elevator. may i ask what part of the country?

thanks for posting. The Holiday Inn is great. In my area it is guaranteed to have couples going at it. I find that Friday and Saturdays are the best between 1030pm-200am

Jeez, that puts me in one hell of a spot. OK, hot shot, that sounds like a full house to me, but I believe I got the Royal Flush with my capture from last night.

I've posted the details in software and am playing with a copy atm, but with little experience in manipulating audio files, it frustrates me to put it mildly.

Excellent work there!

During my uni years I was working in a hotel on the Friday and Saturday night shifts mostly (my choice). I was lucky enough to find that most of my compatriots didnt want to do the running about deliverying trays and checking the corridors - so it fell to me. I think I managed quite a few evenings of two and threes. Four would be rare but do recall one particular valentines night when I think I picked up 8. I think you can still claim a record for proximoty however, I was cruising a pretty big establishment for that sort of score. YOu have managed it with adjacent rooms - deff a record in its own right. If you don't mind, I'd rather not say which hotel it is. As I've given my room number, there's a (remote) chance they'd be able to work out who I am. It was in the north of England.

I agree LeStanf. It has to be very tricky and difficult to get totally "authentic" captures on the fly. But, these are by far the best captures where the ladies are laughing, going crazy and having a great time. No need to reveal details.
