Hello all, wow what an awesome site. Finally a community of like minded followers and contributors! Best thing is the diversity I see here... there are persons who actively contribute themselves then those that prefer to just record others... very nice.
A bit about me, 40+, married midwesterner (US) who caught the "bug" about 15 years ago when I traveled on business. When you are mid-twenties and missing your spouse, those sounds coming thru the walls are like heaven. I started to listen every time I stayed in a hotel for those sounds. You find yourself turning off all fans and AC/ heater units just so the sound is more clear. I do not travel near as much now but when I do I still listen.
More about some of my lessons learned later!
